My Top 5 of Stephen's Top 10

Stephen's list of top 10 things that you really need to learn, was interesting and thought provoking. It really got me thinking about my own life on a personal, professional and academic level. It made me think, "Do I do these things? Will I do this things when teaching? How do I fulfill all ten of these things?" After thinking about these questions, and pondering the article, it became evident that these ten factors are not achieved over a short period of time. They are ten things that are developed and explored throughout ones entire life. However, they are things that should be worked on, and practiced in order to be successful in all aspects of life. Therefore, after reading the list, I decided to pick My Top 5 of Stephen's Top 10. The top 5 that I have listed are the 5 items that I find to be  most important, and are things that I have worked on, developed, practiced and will continue to work on throughout my life. I am not saying I am going to ignore the other 5 because clearly the are helpful aspects as well, I am simply saying I am going to start by focusing on the 5 items most relevant to me.

My Top 5 of Stephen's Top 10:
  1. How to ccommunicate clearly
  2. How to value yourself
  3. How to live meaningfully
  4. How to stay healthy
  5. How to learn
After picking out my top 5, it made me realize that my top 5 begin with me. If I am able to fulfill these five things, and make myself happy and be pleased with my life. Then I will be able to have a positive impact on the world and people around me. This article got me thinking, and I will definitely keep Stephen's words of wisdom in mind as I travel through this journey/adventure called life!!! To see the full list click the link... 1. I like how you created your Top 5 from the list. I also picked out the ones most relevant to me and my teaching. And I think you're right, if you make yourself happy, then you will be able to have a positive effect on others. And especially in your classroom. Great post!
